It's amazing what tight shots you can get at different locations and make it look like you were the only one there. There were quite a few people in the park having picnic's while we were shooting, so we just ignored them and worked on getting great photos!

I did not think I would be a huge fan of a garden done in all the same color roses. But I love these pink roses in this photos shoot. There are enough of them that it looks like a wall or hedge, but creates a different texture than a wall would.

Why do I love crying babies?

I am still trying to decide why I love pictures of crying babies... Maybe its because we end up seeing our own little babies crying so much in real life. Also, check out the diaper this little baby is wearing. It's a cloth diaper, but has convenient velcro strips to attach it together. No more pins or plastic diaper coverings. This mother rents them by the month, and you just wash them when they need to be washed. It's amazing to see a new take on something old...

Very cold day, but cute, cute couple. They met while being tour guides up at Timpanogos cave. They are the nicest people, you should have them lead your tour if you go through Timpanogos cave. Also, its always fun to have the reception in an atrium. It's a little bit of spring while everything else is dead outside.

I did the headshots for the program for the principles in the Phantom of the Opera production at Pleasant Grove High School. They turned out really good, and the kids were fun to photograph, although I would have loved to see them in their masquerade costumes! I have to say, though, that my scanner is not very good, because the pictures looked better in the program...

I work with Linda up at Sundance resort in the art center. Linda is such a talented printmaker, and wanted these photos for her new website. I would recommend to anyone to take the printmaking class up at Sundance- it is so much fun, and a little more difficult than it looks! I had her teach my 2 boys over christmas, and it was amazing the prints that the did. We had fun taking these photos. . .and her dog was so well behaved!

This was a crazy photo shoot because it was right between 2 thunderstorms that poured. We almost canceled it, but since this family was from out of town, we decided it was the only time to do it. So we went out there, and finished just as it started pouring again! We even saw the sun for a little while, which was great! I am so glad we ended up doing it, since the photos turned out so good!

I have decided that I really like shooting in orchards. It is such a fun look, especially when it is combined with such a fun family. And Creighton and Crew were so cute, and fun to work with. I just love the bright colorful flowers at summer weddings especially! All the little girls had sunflowers after she got out of her wedding, and it made the cutest photos! We had crazy weather this day. It was absolutely gorgeous when when started, and then the wind started blowing like crazy and we had rain for about 5 minutes, and then the sun came out again. Wind is great for taking pictures with the bride and the veil, but the wind was so out of control that I didn't use a bunch of those photos! You never know what kind of weather you may get in utah during the summer.. .

I found this great field full of yellow weeds while we were out shooting, and as we were heading out there, we ran into this old gentleman that was letting a squirrel loose in the field. Rachel, her mom, and I had a lot of fun on this photo shoot! I'm loving red in my photos right now- so I was excited when she showed in a red dress. I also love how she brought her shoes with her to photograph- I decided I need some more colorful shoes!
I couldn't decide which photos I loved the best so I put up a whole bunch of them. . . Shooting in this location makes me still lament the fact that they took the boxcar off of the Vivan Park railroad track, but this location makes a nice photography spot too!

I took these engagement photos this last week. Good thing we took them before we got four days of snow! Also, she was having surgery the next day on her shoulder, which made some of the posing a little difficult!

When I do engagements sometimes I ask the couple if they would like to do some fun pictures that might have to do with their lifestyle. Tanner is redshirting for a basketball team in college, so we went and got some photos on the basketball court! It was a lot of fun!

Baby Pics can be tough, I think the best time to take newborn pictures is right after they're born, up to about a week. After that point they typically are more fidgety. However, this baby was extremely easy going.

Theses are from a shoot at Arches. A lot of hiking... the delicate arch was fun to photograph. Funny thing was I kept thinking- if only we could turn the arch a little bit. Too bad natural wonders are so fixed! If you haven't been, the delicate arch is out on the tip of a u-shaped bowl. The arch itself is HUGE! We were actually pretty far away from the arch in these pics. Some of the other pics were from other places in arches.

We've had a bit of a breather and have spent the time reviewing photos from the last year and archiving them. I also got a new computer...yeah. The previous computer was just so dog gone slow! I love this new one though, I just click and things open up!

Also, I've updated my wedding prices to reflect what's going on with my business. I've started to include sales tax in all pricing, so that what you see is what you pay. Hopefully, it's a lot easier to understand.

As for the website, it's unfortunately been at the bottom of things to do. Since it's been down though, we've been looking at completely changing it, and have been weighing different options. We'll have something going soon though, whether it's the same old or not.

I recently took photos of Michael and Katherine. They were a fun couple and I love photos that have a story. She taught in china and the girl on the back of the bike is a pretty common sight. Anyway it was really cute.

I couldn't have asked for better lighting that day. This couple got married here 2 days later, but I liked the fact that they did some wedding photos before the wedding, since I could pick the time which had better lighting, and it wasn't as hurried as it would have been the actual wedding day. We had a really good time. . .and the photos turned out so beauitfully.

This wedding that I am posting had to have been one of the hottest days this summer. We were out at 9:30 in the morning in Bountiful, and I couldn't believe how hot it was out there. Even though wedding dresses are not the coolest clothing, I bet the brides are glad they are in white, and not wearing the black suits! I am still working on this wedding, but I really liked how these turned out.
